I recently received an email from a RHIT expressing concerns about finding that first coding position:

“We go to school, get certified and whenever we try to get a position in the coding field, the same roadblock hits you square in the face. If we do not have 2 to 3 years experience no one will even give us an interview to say nothing about training for a coding position.”

The gap between training and your first position can be overwhelming to recent grads that have invested their time and money into schooling for a new profession. How do you find that first position to gain experience?
