On Tuesday, the Certification Commission for Health IT announced that it is shutting down all operations, Health Data Management reports.
Background
In 2004, three health IT associations -- including the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and the American Health Information Management Association -- came together to create CCHIT to provide services for health IT products and educate health care providers and IT developers (Slabodkin, Health Data Management, 10/28).
